Closing the Gap
The "Closing the Gap" Award was established to recognize a person or program that has made a significant contribution toward addressing health disparities in Lincoln/Lancaster County, Nebraska. The Community Health Endowment of Lincoln (CHE) presents the Closing the Gap Award at the Annual Meeting each year.

Health Champion

The Community Health Endowment of Lincoln (CHE) accepts nominations for the Health Champion Program throughout the year. On a quarterly basis, CHE will recognize a Lincoln-Lancaster County resident (of any age) who demonstrates extraordinary effort in improving his/her physical or mental health; inspired others with their efforts; and been largely unrecognized for their achievements.

Health Champions will be honored with public recognition (if desired), a monetary stipend of $250, and a certificate of achievement.

Making a Difference
The Community Health Endowment partners with the Lincoln Journal Star to recognize individuals and/or groups who are making a difference in the health of our community by volunteering their time and talents. The individuals and groups are featured each month in the Lincoln Journal Star in a "Making a Difference" ad.

Health Challenge
The Community Health Endowment believes that the Health Challenge will help us achieve our vision of making Lincoln the healthiest community in the nation. Each year the Community Health Endowment sponsors the Health Challenge which We believe plays an important role in raising awareness, teaching prevention, and encouraging healthy lifestyles among Lincoln residents.
