CHE Announces Funding Obligations

More Than $1.6 Million Committed So Far in FY2011-12

The Community Health Endowment of Lincoln (CHE) recently announced the following funding obligations for FY2011-12:

-$1.2 million has been obligated to the continuation of multi-year projects, including the Health Hub, Health 360, Project A.L.L., Partnership for a Healthy Lincoln, and many other projects.
-$73,210 has been committed to new SPARK! grants that address health literacy, diabetic supplies for the poor and uninsured, community-wide CPR education, and other important topics.
-$350,000 has been designated to immediately address priority recommendations from a study of Lincoln's healthcare safety net by Health Management Associates (HMA). Application for this funding is by invitation only.

At this time, the CHE Board of Trustees has not determined the availability of additional grant funding in FY2011-12, but further information will be posted on the CHE website by April 30, 2012.
