CHE Seeking Program Manager

The Community Health Endowment of Lincoln (NE), a municipal endowment with assets of $60 million, is seeking to hire a highly responsible individual with strong organizational, analytical and creative skills. The Program Manager is a unique position requiring a passion for public service and an inherent desire to learn. The successful candidate must be able to effectively balance multiple projects as a leader and/or a team member, have top-notch written and oral communication skills, a strong work ethic and enjoy learning new information about non-profit management, emerging health trends and public policy. A successful Program Manager is curious about exploring innovative solutions to healthcare issues affecting our community and is able to thrive on self-direction.

The Program Manager will review grant requests and make funding recommendations, be able to organize health-related community-events and develop strong and effective relationships with grantees. In addition, this person will convene community groups around critical health issues, provide leadership to multiple special projects, pursue the goals of the agency’s Diversity Plan, seek opportunities to share our vision with national and local audiences and implement an ambitious strategic vision.

Candidates should have at least:
- a four-year or advanced degree from an accredited college or university;
- a minimum of two years work experience;
- a background in public health, health care, policymaking, foundations/endowments, grant making, and/or marketing; and
- experience working with community organizations and boards.

Salary/benefits are negotiable based on experience.
