Dr. Anthony will share her story of growing up in Detroit, MI and making her way to Harvard and Vanderbilt Universities despite the odds against her. Dr. Anthony will discuss the impact of race, gender and background on her life and the lives of the people she serves and set the stage for what is needed for Lincoln to achieve greater health equity. Dr. Anthony is the Deputy Director of the Center for Reducing Health Disparities at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in the College of Public Health and Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Promotion and Social Behavioral Health.
