CHE traditionally has two funding cycles per year: Spring, and Fall. Specific dates for the next funding cycle are below. A general overview of CHE's complete grant lifecycle can be found here.
Additionally, the CHE Board of Trustees announced a third opportunity, which specifically provides funding for nonprofit technical assistance (TA). For more information about the new TA grant opportunity, click here.

Fall 2026 Funding Timeline
- Grant application available online June 9, 2026
- Note: All applicants are required to complete and submit an Eligibility Form in the CHE grant portal. Once your eligibility has been determined by CHE, you will receive an email with notice that the full application has been made available to you and a link to sign up for an Idea Meeting.
- June 10, 2026 - Applicant workshops.
- June 11 - July 17, 2026 - Grant project Idea Meetings with CHE staff.
- Although not required, all applicants are strongly encouraged to meet with CHE staff in the early stages of the grant application process.
- July 31, 2026, 12:00pm (noon) - APPLICATIONS DUE BY 12:00PM (SUBMIT NO LATER THAN 11:59)
- October 30, 2026 - Grantees notified of award decisions.
- November 4, 2026 - Formal, public award announcement made by CHE.
- January 1, 2027 - Grant contracts begin and funding is available.
