Healthy Food Access Kitchen - CHE Legacy Project
Community Action of Lancaster and Saunders Counties is an anti-poverty organization that serves over 18,000 individuals across Lancaster and Saunders Counties on an annual basis.
One of their areas of programming is Head Start. The provision of nutritional services is one of the most critical components of the program. Children receive breakfast and lunch, as well as two snacks daily.
The Community Health Endowment funded a project that built a commercial kitchen to address Community Action's capacity needs. Learn more about their healthy food access kitchen in the above video.
